Unlocking IMS Shujaee Library 🗝️

While conducting the July month’s Quest challenge, it became apparent that many students were unclear about our school library’s rules. To clear the air and ensure everyone can make the most of this valuable resource, I sat down with our beloved librarian, Shehey Miss, to get the lowdown on all things library-related.

Good news, bookworms! Our school library is open for all  secondary students from grades 7 to 10, who are more than welcome to dive into its wonderful world of words.

Can we borrow books?
Absolutely! Each student can check out one book at a time, and you’ve got a week to savor the details before returning it.

What if I lose a book or forget to return it?
We understand that accidents happen, but it’s important to be responsible. Overdue books will earn you a gentle reminder from our friendly librarians, but repeated offenses might lead to not being able to borrow books for a period of time. Lost a book? You’ll need to replace it with the same book or find a similar one from the same series.

When can we visit the library?
You can swing by during your free periods (after seeking the teacher’s permission) or after the session. Just remember, the library is closed during the interval.

What about the outdoor library?
You can definitely enjoy a good book on a bench in our outdoor library. The catch is you can’t borrow books from there though. If you fall head over heels for a book, chat with the friendly library staff– they might be able to work something out. 🤫

So there you have it! Our school library is a treasure trove waiting to be explored. Make the most of it, and happy reading!
